Spinflector Endorsements
BGC Contracting – South Australian Operations
“Before using the Spinflector system at SMR we were using various inferior products that were very labor intensive. Not only did we have to install this product we had to construct it before installation. This took time and resources that could have been used more efficiently in other areas. I also found that we were replacing these due to being broken in high winds or rusted out from the elements in a short period of time.
The Spinflector system although it is a bit more in upfront costs, is a much more cost efficient product. It comes complete and requires no extensive construction before installation and outlasts the previous system by a long shot. It’s sturdy design and interchangeable parts make it by far the best product I have had to use.
This product is designed and built by a person that is from the shop floor and has seen how other products have failed and cost the bottom line of a business. In today’s market it pays to use the Spinflector.
Over the last 2 years we have slowly replaced our old products with Spinflector’s as they fail or wear out. 95% on site are now Spinflector’s – I am yet to replace a Spinflector that has worn out.
Since being used on site our replacement of this product has been almost nothing and I would definitely recommend the use of this for any traffic control application.

“We first trailed Spinflector across our BGC South Australian Mining Operations in late 2017 as a means to enhancing both safety and efficiencies in open cut mining traffic management. It was immediately evident that Spinflector offered a high quality, effective solution to achieve intended outcomes. This resulted in BGC Contracting purchasing and installing 1,200 Spinflector’s in June/July 2018 following the extensive, successful trial, across two mine sites in South Australia.
With the Spinflector specifically designed for the harsh conditions experienced in mining, I have been impressed with the quality of the product, offering not only traffic management enhancements (safety & efficiency), but also a cost saving in line with continuous improvement initiatives. The high quality bearings, stainless steel shaft & resistant replaceable wings enable the Spinflector to stand the test of time & conditions. In the 18 months that we have installed Spinflector’s on our sites, we are yet to have one seize-up (bearings) and stop spinning. This has ensured that replacements are not required and that the traffic management remains controlled, particularly on intersections & corners at all times.
I highly recommend the Spinflector product to all mining and construction companies as an enhancement to traffic management across their operations.”

“I have been observing Spinflectors with interest for over 18 months ever since they were first demonstrated as a pre-production product, followed by a subsequent trial on site. I am captivated with the construction quality, required in a tough mining environment. They include quality features that other Whirligigs on the market don’t have.
Since installing Spinflectors all over site, I recall only ever seeing a couple of broken wings, but with the Spinflector design these are as simple as clicking in a new wing and away it goes again. With the other whirligigs we previously used on site, once a wing or cup is broken it cannot be replaced and is discarded. It is interesting to note that even with a broken wing, the Spinflector continues to spin freely, unlike the other cupped Whirligigs.
The Spinflector is designed and made by someone who works in a tough mine environment, who knows how tough conditions are and in my view is the superior product on the market.
The Spinflector is more expensive per unit than other products available, but in the long term the cost to business is far less. To my knowledge, in 18 months no Spinflectors have been discarded and replaced. I’ve witnessed other products for years break and be discarded, even on the same day they were installed in some cases; this is testimony to the grander quality of the Spinflector.”
